Why We Are Small

Many people don’t take the Dawn Christadelphians seriously because they are so small. What they don’t realize is Jesus always said the true church would be small.

In Luke 12:32 he spoke of the church as the “little flock”. Whenever he referred to the size of the Christian community, he never said otherwise.

In Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus said, “Enter by the narrow gate: for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are these who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.”

Later in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus declared that the wise man built his house upon the rock. (Matthew 7:24) I have been a world traveler and have noticed it is extremely rare to find a house built on rock: almost always houses are built on sand or clay.

Many feel we are living in the days right before the Second Coming. Did you know Jesus predicted that at this time the true church would be almost non-existent? He said,”… when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith (meaning the faith) on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)

Jesus never said the true church would be large: he said it would be small.
